I was born into an environment where love and respect for food was one of the pillars of my family education. Born and raised in South Africa, Durban in a township called Kwa-Ndengezi, I was always fascinated by the happenings of kitchens.
I am a proud, self-taught chef. Food has been a huge part of my life since childhood. I was blessed to have parents who were both amazing home cooks, they inspire some of my dishes. I watched a lot cooking videos/shows, but a bulk of my training has been from trial and error, recreating dishes from around the world.
